Eesti linnud - A Clever Bird Identification App
Eesti linnud is a free educational app developed by WalkLearn for Android users. It is a clever bird identification app that helps beginners identify wild bird species in Estonia. The app contains 267 bird species that regularly nest in Estonia, as well as some migratory birds and other curious species. Each bird species has a detailed description with images, audio recordings, and distribution maps to help users identify the characteristics of each bird, such as size, beak shape, color, and habitat.
The Estonian Ornithological Society created the app, and it is used as the basis for the Finland OY LuontoPortti Naturegal portal system. The app is associated with 5D Vision Ltd in collaboration with the eLoodus bird life portal. The app is illustrated by Mike Langman, Richard Allen, Birds of Armenia Project, Dmitry Gorbushin, Elo-Mai Mikelsaar, Ene Aomets, Seervald Katrin Rein Kuresoo, and is upgraded and customized by Riho Kinks. The species texts are created by Hermann Elo, and the technical support is provided by 5D Vision Ltd. The app's design and realization are done by WalkLearn Ltd, and the completion of this determinant is financed by the Environmental Investment Centre.
